Celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month with the NHCC!

In honor of Hispanic Heritage Month (September 15 through October 15), NHCC is excited to have launched a new collaboration with Google Arts and Culture so you can digitally explore works from their permanent collection, the Mundos de Mestizaje–a 4,000-square-foot concave fresco–and much more! It’s an incredible collection of works and partners that honor Hispanic culture and heritage you don’t want to miss.

If you’re looking for something you can experience in person, make a visit to NHCC’s campus to see Outstanding in His Field: San Ysidro-Patron Saint of Farmers or The Piñata Exhibit (sure to be a smash hit!) . If you’d like a cultural experience for your family, on Sept. 28, bring your pre-school-aged children for cultural story hour. Celebrate Argentina with cooking demonstrations, art activities for kids and adults, and live entertainment at Salud y Sabor . And on Oct. 7, families are invited to tour NHCC’s museum and create their own artwork at ¡A Vamos al Museo! For adults, on Oct. 5, NHCC has adult night fun with snacks, beer and wine for sale from Pop Fizz. Join NHCC Oct. 14 for a reading and book signing by author Irene Blea who wrote Beneath the Super Moon.

There are many ways to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month at the NHCC! Check out www.nhccnm.org for a complete listing of activities.
