The New Mexico Commission for Community Volunteerism (NMCCV) invites nonprofits, local elected officials, and interested community members to a series of “listening sessions” around the state. During these listening sessions, you will hear about the needs and challenges facing New Mexico and how AmeriCorps can work for you, your agency, and your communities.

These sessions are particularly focused on addressing the opioid addiction issue and childhood wellness, but also value programs that impact economic opportunity, education, environmental stewardship, healthy futures and veterans issues.

These listening sessions will be held in the following cities:

  • Albuquerque: July 19
  • Santa Fe: August 21
  • Gallup: September 25
  • Farmington: October 11

Questions can be directed to NMCCV Executive Director Sam Sokolove at Samuel.sokolove@state.nm.us or to Carl Colonius at ccolonius@gmail.com.
