Just one action–a donation, a helping hand, an idea that inspires a meaningful result–creates a ripple effect of positive change that can impact an individual, a family, an entire community.
In New Mexico, many of those actions are initiated, funded and fully realized at New Mexico Community Foundation (NMCF).
What We Do
Addressing issues that range from building rural economies to promoting Native leadership to ensuring equality for women and families, NMCF builds relationships with community leaders, nonprofits, donors and their financial advisors to create greater opportunity and prosperity in New Mexico.
We encourage local leadership, collaboration and innovation in focusing on important matters that most impact community needs and priorities, particularly in relation to our most vulnerable community members. We bring our experience in philanthropy and understanding of New Mexico’s cultural diversity to help communities achieve their goals. Through these partnerships, we award grants to develop new initiatives or support existing programs.
Impacting Change: One Ripple at a Time
The projects we support vary widely, but in each, our goal is the same: to build a thriving New Mexico — one ripple at a time.
In 2012 alone, NMCF ripple effect totaled $5.8 million in grants and scholarships to positively impact hundreds of New Mexico nonprofits and students.
