Types of Funds
A designated fund is a sum of money or assets set aside by a donor or non-profit’s board for a specific purpose, beneficiary, or project.
Agency Funds are created by an agency or donor to give longevity and financial support to an organization.
A Donor Advised Fund (DAF) is a charitable investment account sponsored by a public charity that allows a donor to contribute to the fund, receive an immediate tax deduction, and then recommend grants from the account to qualified charities at a later time.
Donors can create a fund to support a specific area of interest, such as youth development or healthcare, allowing for impact directed to a particular community issue.
