Supporting Organizations that work to improve the health and well-being of communities

The Northeastern Regional Health Fund was established to support organizations doing health-related work in NE New Mexico.

Application opens in fall 2026. Thank you.

This Fund supports organizations in these seven counties: San Miguel, Mora, Guadalupe, Colfax, Harding, Union and Quay.

Priority will be given to organizations providing support in the following areas of community health: food security; access to healthcare, including mental health; and health awareness/education services. Organizations may apply for program support or general operating support.

Recent Recipients:

Eagle Nest Horse Program – $5,000

For the Reining Hope summer program, a no-cost equine access and education program for children ages 5 to 14 who live in Colfax County.

National Dance Institute of New Mexico – $5,0000

For the Hip to be Fit program in Colfax and San Miguel County schools. The program teaches children in grades three through five the importance of exercise and nutrition.

Youth Heartline – $5,000

For Youth Heartline Raton to support youth in the New Mexico Eighth Judicial District through their Court Appointed Special Advocates Program, Safe Exchange and Supervised Visitation services, and local advocacy programs supporting victims of crime and their non-offending relatives.

PROSA Institute – $5,000

For expansion of online health awareness and education around disease prevention, nutrition, maternal health, and other health topics. Services will reach residents in Colfax, Guadalupe, Harding, Mora, San Miguel, Unio and Quay counties.

Cancer Foundation for New Mexico – $5,000

For the Patient Support Services Program for those who live in Colfax, Harding, Quay, San Miguela, Mora and Union Counties. The program provides mileage reimbursement, lodging, meals and other support for those traveling to Santa Fe to receive treatment.

The Birthing Tree $5,000

For their doula project in San Miguel and Mora counties.
